After the outbreak of the financial crisis of 2008, more than a decade ago, there are many principles —economic, social, political, ecological, etc.— that have been questioned and that have led us to propose new possibilities of action in all fields, including that of cultural and knowledge production. Postcrisis, curated by Cati Bestard, Marta Sesé and Louis-Charles Tiar, interrelates architecture, visual arts and contemporary thought. In collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, an investigation has been carried out on brick. Eight artists have attended a seminar and a visit to the Palautec brick factory, where they have been able to observe from the extraction in the quarry to the manufacturing process in order to make an original work based on this material, the most emblematic of the crisis.
